Pokémon Kuttari Plush Heading Outside of Japan

Disappointed that we’re not getting the Pikachu Nebukuro/Sleeping Bag collection any time soon? Why not settle for the next best thing: the Pokémon Kuttari plush series! After hitting Japan a few months prior, the Pokémon Kuttari dolls will be making their western debut in the online Pokémon Center store, under the name “Pokémon Kuttari Cuties.”

Kuttari translates to “relaxation” and “rest,” which is fitting given that all these plush dolls feature Pokémon in relaxed, resting positions.  Every character has two variations, depicting each Pokémon as either awake or asleep.  They were apparently quite popular in Japan and, as such, will be making its away outside of Japan to be sold at the Pokémon Center.  This series of plush features Pikachu, Raichu, Eevee, Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon (with either a “sleeping” or “awake” model available for each Pokémon) for a total of 12 dolls in the series.

Interestingly, for the initial release in Japan there was supposed to be a Pichu plush in the set, but that ended up being delayed despite there being pictures available of the doll in question.

Japanese Kuttari Dolls (including Pichu)

The “Kuttari Cuties” will be available for purchase at the Pokémon Center on September 23, 2015.  If you can’t wait and want to order straight from Japan, there’s always the Sunyshore Pokémart which has both the first set and the second set of Kuttari plushes.

I’m torn between the Raichu plush and the Vaporeon plush for the first set. As for the second set, Mudkip wins for me hands-down.
