See the First Official Volcanion Video Teaser!

Following up on the reveal of Volcanion in this month’s CoroCoro Magazine, the official Pokémon Youtube channel has released brand new official Volcanion video footage for all to see.  This marks the first time any information of Volcanion has been officially released outside of Japan.

Teasing its unique Fire/Water-Type combination, the Steam Pokémon was revealed to have a dedicated page on the official Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire website, which you can read for yourself here.

Not much else was revealed about Volcanion, other than its typing, its Ability (Water Absorb), weight, and height.  A brief description for this Mythical Pokémon, however, was also shown on the site, as seen below here:

A new Mythical Pokémon has been found in the world of Pokémon, which cannot be encountered through regular gameplay. This Pokémon’s name is Volcanion!

Unlike any Pokémon discovered before it, this Pokémon is both Fire and Water type. It uses fire and water to create steam within its body, expelling explosive shock waves and boiling steam from the arms on its back. The power is said to be great enough to blow away an entire mountain, gouging out the earth and changing the shape of the land.

You can watch the first-ever official Volcanion video here:

While the video only announces that “more details are coming soon” regarding any info on getting Volcanion, it’s likely we won’t see an official release of Volcanion until 2016.

While many of us are not surprised by Volcanion’s reveal because of what we knew from Pokémon X & Y getting datamined a few years ago, this news will no-doubt be exciting for kids as well as those who don’t follow the franchise religiously (but still enjoy the games nonetheless).
