The official Pokémon site has announced that the open beta for the Android version of Pokémon Trading Card Game Online is now available for testing! Previously available on PC, Mac and iPad, Pokémon TCG Online has now made its way onto tablets running the Android OS – a welcome addition for everyone who’s wanted to play the game on the go but did not have an Apple iOS-based tablet.
The game supports cross-platform play, meaning that gamers can compete and trade with each other on Pokémon TCG Online regardless of whether they’re using a PC or a tablet to play.
Keep in mind that this is currently an open beta for the Android version; while the game will still be free-to-play when it officially launches, expect there to be some bugs and other glitches that might pop up while playing this current version on Android (which you’re encouraged to find and report).
To play Pokémon TCG Online on Android, click this link here while using your tablet – it’s an official beta test invite link provided from the official announcement page. Note that your tablet must be running Android 4.0 or higher in order to play the game. You’ll also need a Pokémon Trainer Club membership in order to sign into the game (which requires an internet connection to play).
No official release date has been announced, but you can start to play right away today!
Glad to see that Android tablet owners can now join in on the action!
