In an exciting update for Pokémon TCG Pocket fans, the long-awaited card number 8 in the Promo-A set is finally here. Starting January 20, 2025, players can acquire the elusive Pokédex card. This special card features a fresh illustration with iconic Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu, alongside the digital encyclopedia familiar to fans from the Pokémon games and anime.
This release celebrates a significant milestone for the game. Pokémon TCG Pocket has reached a collective accumulation of 40 billion cards by players worldwide. To obtain the Pokédex card, simply visit the Gift Chest by tapping the Gift icon on the main screen of the game.
The new card functions like the standard Pokédex card, allowing players to view the top three cards of their deck. However, this Promo-A version stands out with its unique illustration, paying homage to the Pokémon Red and Green editions in Japan, as well as the Red, Blue, and Yellow editions in the West, where these Pokémon were cover stars.
While there’s no additional reward for completing all 33 cards in the Promo-A set, the release of the Pokédex card is a significant achievement. It underscores the global influence of Pokémon TCG Pocket, highlighting how the game continues to unite Pokémon Trainers worldwide through their shared passion for the Pokémon universe.
